II. place on IP Moot Court Competition
The Intellectual Property Law Moot Court Competition, jointly organized by Pázmány Péter Catholic University and the SBGK law firm, was held for the first time.

A total of 28 students registered for the written round, and 16 of them advanced to the oral round held on 27 February 2026. Our Faculty was represented in the oral round by Máté Ferenc Virág (third-year) and Bernát Márk Sándor (fourth-year) students.
Competitors were required to present arguments before the jury in both claimant and defendant positions in a trade mark infringement scenario involving Scotch whisky. The group stage took place at the PPKE Faculty of Law and Political Sciences (JÁK), while the bronze match and the final were held at the SBGK headquarters.
We are especially pleased that Máté Ferenc Virág reached the final and achieved second place. In the final, competitors had to tackle a new trade mark infringement case, and their performances were assessed by Katalin Szamosi (Head of Office, SBGK), Enikő Karsay (Attorney-at-law, SBGK), Zsuzsanna Kovács (Judge of the Supreme Court of Hungary), and Eszter Kovács (Head of the Legal and International Department, Hungarian Intellectual Property Office).
The Győr team’s coach was Barna Arnold Keserű, Associate Professor and Head of Department.
